Viesus 9.3: CPU Benchmark

Scenario I

Hardware:

  • Intel Xeon 4C/4T, 3.3 GHz, 8GB RAM

Testfiles:

  • 292 images with average 2.8 Mpix size

Enhancement Settings:

  • Adaptive Face Flash (AFF) and Skin Tone Adjustment (STA) switched on,
  • fdstrength = 0.5
  • Different settings for VIESUS_THREADS

Results

VIESUS_THREADS=1

  • 8.4 Mpix / s

VIESUS_THREADS=2

  • 7.4 Mpix / s

VIESUS_THREADS=4

  • 6.2 Mpix / s

Scenario II

Hardware:

  • Intel Xeon 4C/4T, 3.3 GHz, 8GB RAM

Testfiles:

  • 292 images with average 2.8 Mpix size

Enhancement Settings:

  • AFF and STA switched on

  • VIESUS_THREADS=1

  • Different settings for fdstrength, i.e. measure for min faces size

Setup:

  • One instance of VIESUS CLI

Results

Fdstrength = 0

  • 11.4 Mpix / s

Fdstrength = 0.5

  • 8.4 Mpix / s

Fdstrength = 1

  • 3.6 Mpix / s

Scenario III

Hardware:

  • Intel Xeon 4C/4T, 3.3 GHz, 8GB RAM

Testfiles:

  • 292 images with average 2.8 Mpix size

Enhancement Settings:

  • AFF and STA switched on

  • VIESUS_THREADS=1

  • fdstrength=0.5

Setup:

  • Four instances of VIESUS CLI

  • each running on their own set of 292 images = 1168 images

Results

  • Ca. 7 Mpix / s per instance, i.e. total 28 Mpix / s

  • Total 1186 images in 120 s, i.e. about 9.7 images / s at 2.8 MPix
